Not much new this week. I just celebrated my 28th birthday a couple of days ago. Also, registration for the Nike Run Hit Wonder (Chicago) race opened up on July 28th. Don't forget to sign up! I watched a movie today with Christian Bale (Batman) and this was the most amazing physical transformation I have ever seen. Check out the image below to see a photo of this guy in Reign of Fire, then in The Machinist. Then he goes back to being ripped for Batman. I also added an image of myself from the 10k. I was kind of surprised to find my picture on the Chicago Big 10k website! It's small and I look crazy, but I made it.

In other news, I finally got to witness the infamous "hot coffee" mod for GTA: San Andreas. I am sorry but I had to laugh. This is the 4th GTA game in the series and they are known for their mature content—one can steal cars, kill, rob, etc. It's funny that the aforementioned vices were OK for minors to purchase and partake in until a hidden sex game, as much overhyped as the Team America doll sex scene, came out and ultimately made the ESRB decide that this wasn't appropriate for the youngsters. Basically, If you're 17, you now have to wait until you're 18. Rockstar—The company that makes GTA—left some mature content embedded in the game and some folks unlocked this hidden content. Rockstar is in deep poo for this one. Anyway, its actually a mini "game". When your girlfriend(s) invite you in for coffee, you can have sex with them. It even has a little pleasure meter. It was soo hot today. I was probably the only runner with pants. I need to get some running shorts! Anyway, this was my last race before my 28th birthday. Yes, Vaughn is getting up there! Happy Birthdays to my niece Aleya and to my Grandmother who will both have birthdays coming up in the next few weeks as well. Congrats to Sonia for finishing strong in the Mike Horgan Hill Climb! One of the most popular pages from my old site was a page that I used to basically document what it was like for me getting my braces. I decided to continue to update the page for anyone still interested. [teeth]

The Tour de France is underway so I spent a lot of this weekend watching it while riding my trainer. A trainer is a stand that you can mount your bike on which allows you to ride your bike indoors—sort of like an exercise bike. I am excited to start running again. I have been sidelined since I sprained my ankle at the Taste of Chicago Race. [image]

Happy 4th! I just realized that this is my 5th Independence day in Chicago. I didn't realize that I'd been here that long. It's crazy. Here's an image from Bohannon. The song Gentle Breeze got me through some good and bad times over the past few years. Bohannon is the man. [image]
